USU Mountain View Housing

The Mountain View Residence Hall is a new 401-bed suite-style housing facility on the beautiful Utah State University campus. It was a privilege to work under the leadership of Jacobsen Construction on this 130,000 gsf project. Completed on-time and on budget, this beautiful new complex will begin housing students for the Fall 2022 semester.

Construction follows State of Utah DFCM high performance building standards and is constructed more like a commercial project than typical student housing.  We provided in-house BIM design for lighting, cable tray and distribution conduit systems.  Medium voltage site distribution and communication infrastructures were included as well.

Since our founding in 1933, TEC Electric has been a fixture at USU, having participating in the building and renovation of countless buildings on campus and at the Space Dynamics Lab.
